Roboink - Automating Handwritten Notes
Roboink revolutionizes customer engagement by automating handwritten notes at scale. The platform maintains the personal touch of handwritten communication while significantly improving efficiency.

My client faced a growing challenge: as their B2C business expanded, maintaining personalized connections with customers became increasingly difficult. In the early days, they would write handwritten thank-you notes to each customer, a practice that built trust and made customers feel valued. However, as the business grew, this personal touch became impossible to manage manually. Still, it was too valuable to lose.
That's where my role came in. The client envisioned an automated solution that would preserve the personal feel of handwritten notes but remove the manual effort. I developed a cross-platform desktop application that automated this process using a pen plotter printer. The app, which also functioned as a business management system, seamlessly integrated with the printer and its driver to generate custom handwritten notes for each customer.
For the frontend, I utilized React with TypeScript and Chakra UI to ensure a smooth and responsive user experience. Electron.js was used to provide the cross-platform environment, leveraging Chromium and Node.js. Python scripts handled the automation of handwritten notes. Electron Forge was chosen as the build tool for its robust support in creating the final distributable version of the app.
This project automated a time-consuming task and retained the essence of personal customer connection—by making the automation feel human.
